Students succesfully completed Unit 3 covering the Environmental Basics of Matter, Energy, and Life along with Biochemical Cycles. Students should have mastered the forms and processes of the Carbon and Nitrogen cycle in addition to 65 Vocabulary words from Chapter 3- A FUN REVIEW!
Students went on our first semester, all day field trip on Monday, Nov. 19. We learned alot touring the Bussen Quarry along with a Mississippi River visit, The Arch, The Old Courthouse, and the Science Center-- all in one day!! Students typed up the facts they learned as a culminating activity.
We now finish our tour of Ecological themes in Environmental Science with Unit 4. This unit covers chapters 4, 5, and 11 and topics like Evolution, Adaptation, Speciation, Biomes, and Biodiversity.
We will have a unit exam and then prepare for the first semester final exam. Preparation will include periodic testing of FRQ during class time. Students should be prepared for these weekly "quizzes".
***Final Action Points are due Tuesday, December 11.
***Winter Lodge Trip Forms are due before Christmas Break.
